Happy Easter, everyone! Through the death and resurrection of Christ, God took the darkest moment in history and turned it into the best news ever. Christ had humbly stepped down into this world, He healed and taught and loved, and He ended up on a cross. But the story didn't end there. The tomb became empty. Death was defeated. And through the sacrifice of Christ, we can know God and live with Him forever. That's the Gospel. And it's the greatest news ever. So let's celebrate like Jesus is alive. And let's come alive in Him. "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." - John 16:33 And don't forget - everyone is welcome to celebrate right along with us this morning at 10:30! We hope to see you soon!

"He himself bore our sins" in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by His wounds you have been healed." - 1 Peter 2:24 As Christ hung on the cross, darkness fell. All hope seemed lost for His friends. But death could not keep Him, and no tomb could contain what love was about to release. As we reflect on the death of Christ, let us also hold on to hope that even in the darkness, resurrection is coming. Please consider joining us to celebrate our Risen Savior this Sunday, April 21 at 10:30am. No matter your story or your past, you are welcome here as we rejoice and celebrate together. We look forward to seeing you Easter Sunday morning!

This Sunday morning, you'll have a chance to share a scripture to encourage the whole church during our worship time. Please pray that God would speak through our church to our church to inspire and help us!

A note to those who plan on attending church tomorrow morning: Please use caution tomorrow as you navigate through the parking lot. With all of the recent snow, rain, and ice, the lot has been difficult to maintain and not all of the ice was able to be cleared. On top of that there is more snow expected and it could cover the ice making things even more slippery. Leonard is working diligently along with the plow company to make clear it as best as they can. Thank you!

Due to the icy weather conditions expected this evening, GriefShare will be cancelled for tonight, February 5th. We're sorry for any inconvenience. Please help us spread the word if you are aware of people who may be planning on attending but don't follow our Facebook page. Thank you!

The ideas of "family" and "togetherness" seems almost cliche at times, especially with the holidays just around the corner. This Sunday, join us for worship as we look at God's heart for unity and effectiveness in the church - Christ's beloved bride. We'll look at some "ingredients" that can bring the church together, and see how blessed we can truly be, viewing our fellowships and the world with His compassion, grace, and love - like family should!

It's not too late to pack a box for Operation Christmas Child! All packed shoeboxes for this ministry are due back to CEFC by this Sunday, November 12th so they can be collected and sent off to the next step of the process. Visit the Samaritan's Purse website ( https://www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child ) for more information on instructions and ideas for packing a shoebox full of hygiene/care supplies, school supplies, and toys for children across the world. Through this ministry, you can be a part of spreading the Gospel to children in poverty. These gifts demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to children in more than 100 countries, including refugee camps. Local church leaders can then teach the children Who Jesus is with a 12-week Bible study in their own language - all because you took the time and resources to let children know you love Jesus and care about them!

Every year in January our youth group students head to Green Bay for the Districts Youth Conference – a weekend full of worship, teaching, entertainment, fun, and fellowship with other students around Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity for students to dig deeper into their faith as we focus this year on the Real Jesus. If your student would like to join with us in this event, please contact Jason Sasse ([email protected]). The total cost for this event is $140 (first deposit of $70 is due tonight, and this deposit ensures a spot for your student for this event.) Fun times are guaranteed at Districts, and we look forward to another amazing weekend of God working in big ways in the hearts of students! Follow the link below if you'd like to learn more about this great opportunity for students from 7th-12th grade! http://www.forestlakes-efca.org/districts/

Discontentment. We all feel it sometimes. Where in your life do you struggle most with discontentment? This Sunday we'll be looking into Philippians 4. We'll see the contentment that God offers to us through Christ's strength alone, and what happens to our discontentment when we learn to rely on Him. We look forward to seeing you Sunday morning at 10:30 for worship!

As we finish our "Throne Room" series this Sunday, we will again be looking into Revelation 5. The whole universe proclaims the great Name of the Lamb Who was slain and the Lion Who reigns - and we are called to join in with the symphony of praises to the King. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday morning at 10:30 for worship!
